We created the 3D products from a series of 2-dimensional sketches. The client supplied simple 2D CAD drawings of newly developed products and we generated images to make the new products appear real.
The images were used to gauge the consumer feedback and preferences for each item. The client was able to use the technology to question over 2,000 online users with a low financial outlay.
We delivered to their brief of creating highly interactive online products which users were able to click on and interact with. We ensured that these did not require any special software or plug-ins so that all members of the study would find the images easy to manipulate.
Three-dimensional images provided many advantages to the developer, as members of the test panel were able to look at all aspects of the product in a realistic way, including zooming-into and reading the text on the back label.
This technology allowed our client to:
- Rapidly visualize NPD designs
- Test these ideas across a wide spectrum of people
- Reduce the cost of developing new NPD visuals
- Greatly increase the chances of success due to informed feedback
- Provide more clarity to the decision-making process on new products
